Peedus People proudly partners with the Global Alliance for Rabies Control (GARC) to empower communities with knowledge that saves lives. We are one of the few local organizations in India actively enrolling team members in GARC's Rabies Educator Certificate (REC) program.

What is the REC Program?

The Rabies Educator Certificate is a globally recognized program designed to train individuals to spread awareness and educate the public about rabies prevention. Topics include:

• Rabies transmission and symptoms
• Preventing dog bites
• Animal care and community safety
• Community-based communication

Our Certified Educators

Our certified team members actively work in Sector 19 and Sector 38 dispensaries, guiding community members on:

• Post-bite protocols
• Animal behavior and safety
• Identifying at-risk areas and individuals

Implementation in Sector 19

• Regular counseling sessions
• Data-driven tracking of bite cases
• Drop in dog bite cases due to education and sterilization
